RE: ENHANCED ONLINE BANKING SECURITY

Annandale State Bank is pleased to announce that we will be upgrading to a more secure version of Internet Banking. The new version will be installed soon and is presently being tested.  It contains a new verification security feature to protect your accounts. We take every step to ensure that we always have the most sophisticated financial tools available for our customers.

Your Internet Banking Service is Being Upgraded! The features and functions within Internet Banking will remain the same. During your logon to Internet Banking you will be asked some things that only "YOU" will have the answers for verification purposes. Your new verification for your logon will include:

Security image and caption: The first time you logon to Internet Banking after the install, you will be asked to choose your own security image and caption for that image. From then on we will always display your image and caption before you enter your password on our website. This feature ensures that you are logging on to the Annandale State Bank online banking site.
Multi-Layer Security: This new security image works to allow the security system to authenticate your computer in order to ensure that the sign-in is not a fraudulent attempt to access your account information.
Three Challenge Questions: In addition, upon your first logon after install, you will be asked to setup three challenge questions that will be used for verification purposes if the security system does not recognize your computer. When you logon to the Internet Banking site from a different computer than the computer that you originally answered your verification questions on, you will be asked to verify the questions. If your security image does not appear at logon, you should stop logging onto the Internet and contact the bank immediately.

It's simple! Once you've signed up, you SHOULD NEVER enter personal information, such as your password, without seeing your personal security image first!  The display of your personal security image is to insure you that you are communicating with the Annandale State Bank. 

Another important security reminder is that the Annandale State Bank will NEVER request or accept personal information or account information through e-mail.  We have chosen the most secure level of Internet Banking available and hope that this gives you additional peace of mind.
